Capped at 55 and system will not allow registrations beyond that number. Sorry!
I'm going to be on reserve duty on the 7th. Can you post the first week session. I'll need to to the test on my own.
Is there a wait list? Hillary and I would like to attend.
If there is a wait list, can I be added as well?
No official wait list but had another email after it closed as well. If anyone drops out I'll certainly let you guys know in the order from this thread!
Brad I'm in iowa at the moment but will post the workouts when I get back after the new year or can mail it to you directly if that is easier.
Pls add me to your wait list if you can, thanks!
For the car-less crowd: I live only a few blocks from Fresh Bikes and offer my place to store a couple trainers.
Is this all filled up?
Yes, we've been moving up the waitlist and currently there are 3 on that.
Wow, didn't think you could fit 50 cyclists inside Freshbikes.
What should folks do in the intervening week? Will suggested workouts/meetups be sent out? Thanks.
Yep, Freshbikes made a ton of space for us and we need to remember to thank them every week. They move all that stuff out Fri night with their staff when I'm sure they'd love to be leaving for home.
There will not be any meetups at Freshbikes during the week, however, I do offer three spin sessions (on spinning bikes) during the week. Mon evenings I teach at Revolve from 545-630PM and then at Golds Clarendon from 7-8PM. Weds mornings I'm at Revolve from 630-730AM.
Golds sessions are free to Golds gym members, Revolve is a cycling studio that offers pay as you go. Classes range from $11-15 depending if you purchase a pack. It is a really nice gym that has only been open for about 5 weeks. Magnetic resistance on the bikes and a really nice sound system. If you are interested, sign up at www.revolvefitness.com.
Mid week sessions for those following the program but who do not wish to partake in the spin sessions should be a duplicate of our Saturday session. If you have to cut it short, focus on those single leg drills at the beginning and drop off the last 40 minutes.
Also, last week being our first week we weren't sure how to set everything up. There was a significant amount of space left between some bikes that we will need with everyone in attendance. I also feel that the people at the rear of the class felt slightly left out from the music and group interaction.
Therefore, this week, I'm going to try setting my bike up, along with the stereo, in the middle of the two double doors, and then having you guys set out in both directions towards the doors, with one space left down the center for me to walk thru. This should facilitate quicker loading and unloading and also the ability for everyone to hear better.
We'll see how it works. Any other suggestions on how to improve things are welcomed!
Class was excellent! people friendly and a great workout.
Thanks for thinking of ways to improve, but I am stumped on that bc I had a great workout and a great time. See you all next Saturday.
Seriously awesome! Thanks Ron!
My song request is "One Week" BNL.
Excellent class Ron! I would like to request The One That Got Away, because Katy Perry videos are the best.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Thanks for the laugh Simon.
Is anyone coming from the Columbia Heights/ U St. area this Saturday and have a spot in their car? I will pay for gas and brueggers. Thanks!
Mkoz and JayC101 you are now in the class. I'll send you details on who to reimburse for giving up their spot. If I dont email by tomorrow afternoon please remind me or send me a message. Start time is 715am doors will open at 650 for set up!
Anyone coming from NW DC have an extra spot in their car and on their roof rack for my bike and I? My car apparently hates the cold and decided to take a trip to the shop for the weekend.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Could this lost DC tri guy get a spot if there is an opening?
I will be down and would love to feel the burn!
It's almost Saturday again. Who's excited?
