Yesterday, 64-year-old Diana Nyad became the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage. Over the 53 hours she spent swimming from Havana to Key West, Nyad overcame dehydration, sunburn, swelling, and swimming in shark and jellyfish infested waters. Upon reaching shore, she said: "I have three messages. One is, we should never, ever give up. Two is, you’re never too old to chase your dream. Three is, it looks like a solitary sport, but it is a team."
Congratulations Diana Nyad!! Thanks for inspiring all of us to chase our own personal dreams!!
