Look what I found
Registration opens tomorrow, do you know if we are getting any sort of discount or should I just do it like a mortal?
Pretty liberal cutoff times. **Usually** the cutoff for a WTC HIM is 1:10 for the swim and 8:30 overall.
Swim: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Bike: 4 hours
Run: 3 hours and 30 minutes
*The race will officially end 9 hours after the swim start.
We had links on here for $25 off for races run by the folks that put this race together. It has now disappeared. Perhaps one of the people from the Power That Be Committee can look into it.
Hey everyone -
We are working out the final details on the discount code for the 70.3 race but the general policy that we've worked out with Washington Sports & Event Management (WSEM), who is the organization that manages the Washington, DC Triathlon, Nation's and now the 70.3 National Harbor, is that our members receive a single use $25 discount code good to use for one of the 3 races mentioned above in a calendar year. So let's say in 2012 you registered for Washington, DC Triathlon and used our discount but then want to register for Nation's, you will have to pay full price for Nation's. This is in part on the honor system as well as periodic cross-checks will be performed against our active member database to ensure compliance.
Looking at the historical data, most of our members seem to select a single WSEM race in a calendar year to participate so we felt that a slightly larger discount good for one race was more of a benefit than a $10 discount for each race. If the club feels strongly against this policy decision than please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can certainly take it into consideration.
In general, members should bookmark www.dctriclub.org/racediscounts as this will be our centralized location on our website for announcing and distributing up-to-date race discount information.
