Bump! Note that we earn points for the OLY only. We will still be there EN FORCE to cheer for our NTPers doing the Sprint, of course!
Registered for the Oly!
Just a heads up that there will be two training tris at Hains Point before this race. Sat. June 2nd and Sun. July 1st. (permit pending).
In the Oly!
If you haven't registered for General Smallwood, the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Club Championships, now is the time! Registration is capped at 600.
A few reminders:
Race Discount: DC Tri members benefit from a race discount to Maryland Triathlon Series (MTS) events! Redeem your discount in the race section of the Club website.
Register: Only participants in the Olympic distance race will be scored for the Club Competition. After you register, indicate that you are “attending” in the race section of the Club website. We need this information for scoring purposes so don’t forget this step!
Volunteer: We’ll need a bunch of folks to come out to support the Club on July 7 for the Olympic Distance Race (Club Championships) and on July 8 for the Sprint (one of the NTP goal races). We are looking for someone to co-lead this!
Train: Save the date for the General Smallwood Brick-Nic, June 16. We’ll ride the course, run and refuel with a potluck picnic at General Smallwood State Park in Indian Head, MD. We are looking for someone(s) to volunteer to coordinate this event.
If you have questions or are available to volunteer contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

In for the Oly. Any thoughts for people doing the Oly do also do the Sprint to support NTP?
In for the oly.
In it to win it.
In for the Olympic course -- see you guys out there!
Jeff, We hope folks will come out on Sunday for the Sprint to cheer on NTP'ers. No need to race both Saturday and Sunday unless that sounds like fun to you. Andrea
I'm hoping to also make it down on Sunday to cheer -- does anyone know if there are good bike paths/roads down to Indian Head?
I think a 29mi ride down, followed by breakfast and cheering, followed by a 29mi ride home sounds like a great Sunday morning.
