3401 M Street, Washington, DC
PS: If anyone is interested in running with the shelter dogs, we have a group of volunteers that take them out every other saturday year round. We usually go up to RCP and run, the dogs love it and not to mention it's very rewarding. Plus, it's a great warm-up to a longer bike or run afterwards! If anyone wants to know more about the program, just let me know.

Thanks for posting this Lester.
I'm a PACK leader and can also answer any questions you may have. We are currently taking the dogs for hikes on Saturday mornings at R.C.K. due to the heat, but should be back to running them once the temperatures cool off. I'm also going to start looking into trail runs on Sunday's.
The more volunteers we have the more dogs that get to join us for our outings, so if you are interested we would love to have you.
The next training session is on Sunday 7/25 at 1pm.
I'm interested in volunteering to help run/hike with the shelter dogs. Could you please send me information about the training on 7/25 to email@example.com.
I've been doing the PACK runs for about a year and they're a lot of fun :)

Wow, i never realized so many DC Tri members are also PACK volunteers! That's great!
I just touched base with WHS regarding new people interested in the PACK program... they are very excited about the interest, especially from the DC Tri community.
They did mention that there is a new member orientation taking place THIS SUNDAY, July 25, 2010 at 1pm.
If anyone is interested in attending the orientation, please contact: Katie Black, Volunteer Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org
If anyone has any general questions, etc, please contact: AsktheTrainer@washhumane.org
It really is a great program and I look forward to meeting everyone soon!
