I received this email from PR and urge DC Tri members to support PR and use the generous offers detailed below:
Dear Running Community:
One of the things we like best about the running community in the DC area is the way we rally around and support each other. Whether it is for a cause, or just because, we are here for each other. We see this community spirit in the support you give each other at events, your support for causes, and even your social media posts.
We're proud to have celebrated our 11th anniversary yesterday. Over the past 11 years, we've grown to nine stores with your support. As a locally owned and operated business, we provide full- or part-time jobs for over 115 people, make the running community more vibrant through our races and events, offer training programs to help runners from youth to adult, contribute to the tax base and the local VA, MD, and DC economies, and give back to local charities and non-profits. You can regularly find our owners and staff sharing their knowledge and love of the sport in our community. Like all locally-owned and operated businesses, we are a vital part of the local economy. By shopping local, you keep money here in the community, where it belongs, and allow it to circulate and benefit others.
The weather so far this year has been a sure kick in the gut for all of us who own small businesses. We thought it had to be over, and yet it continues!
Here's where you can help: If you find yourself in the market for a new pair of running shoes, apparel or accessories, would you allow us at Potomac River Running to serve you at one of our nine area locations? It would be our pleasure to help you find the perfect shoes or other gear, whether you consider yourself an occasional walker, a runner chasing a goal this year, or someone who spends time on your feet for work or play. If you have ever been in one of our stores, you know we take the time and care to make sure what you buy is the best for you, and we gladly back it up with an easy exchange policy.
As a way to say thank you in advance, reference this note when you buy a pair of shoes from Potomac River Running before March 31, 2014 and get a FREE pair of Swiftwick socks, too. Already bought shoes in March? To thank you, mention this note when you come back in with your receipt (or have us look up your history) and receive $10 off your purchase of $30 or more -- a chance to pick up that spring outfit? And in case you didn't know, we have a frequent buyer program that rewards you for every one of your purchases.
Thanks for taking the time to read this note and sharing it with your friends. We look forward to seeing you in store, at a race, or in a training program in the very near future.

I got the same one. This exasperating winter must have hit local retailers pretty hard. I hope life is good this Spring.
