A nice ride through beach towns and forested hills:

"09/03/2011 - 7:00am - 4:00pm, Owens, Maryland

The Annapolis Bay Country Century offers a fully sagged tour of the Chesapeake Bay's western shore. There are rest-stops to enjoy the scenery and to refuel, clearly marked routes with easy to read cue sheets and bike mechanics to assist you. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the St. Leonard Fire Department.

Event Registration

After August 15th, pre-registration will be $40.00. Registration on the day of the event will be $50.

All participants are required to check-in and sign a standard waiver. A pre-event check-in will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 6-8 pm in the Annapolis area. Details to follow. Sign your waiver Thursday evening and you do NOT need to sign-in on event day.

Event Day Sign-In and Registration opens at 7 am".

A contingent of clubbers is forming up for this, for the metric or full. The latest dope from the ride organizers:

Just out of curiosity, who is planning on the 100 miler? I'm still deciding whether to do this or a solo ride in MoCo.

Does anyone doing the metric have room for me and my bike in his or her car? I ride slow, in case you need to get back to DC on the early side. Thanks, Heather.

A bunch of us of middling speed (16-19 mph) is planning to meet at 6:30 am for a rollout around 7 am for the full century. Another bunch of a somewhat faster pace is planning to roll out to do the metric around 7:30.

Can I have your mobile number? I'll give you a ring around 6:45 so I can meet up with you guys before you head off. Thanks!

Wow, lot of clubbers out there today: Adriana Anderson, former president Chad Lewis, Carrie Campbell, Bill Goodrich, Rhyne Beniga,(at least the latter two were bricking), Stephanie Ewert, webmaster Eric Goetz, Shelley Sinclair, Paul DelVecchio, Travis Siehndel playing tuba at nearby Pautuxent, Jimmy Biese, Jay Cochran, Ben Winterroth, NTM Simon H's and Kim Goldman's sizeable metric century group: Ihan, Casey Creech, Erin Love, Carol Cohen, Georgia, Jim, and Greg, and many others. Pretty nice weather, tho humid, nice support, some jerko drivers, nice countryside and beach.
