SUMMARY:Saturday Ride
DESCRIPTION:Current status: “weather-dependent” \nThe regularly scheduled Saturday Club Ride is on hiatus until 2026\, with a tentative re-start of the ride on Saturday March 28th (the Saturday after the Off-Season Spin program ends). However\, weather-dependent Saturday rides might occur from December through March\, so please check the group for posts on whether anyone is riding. \nNote: Always check the discussion of the relevant date’s ride or the most recent group posts for specific weekly ride information: https://www.dctriclub.org/groups/saturday-morning-ride/ \n\n\nWhen: Saturday mornings\, clip in and depart from Georgetown at 7:30am (summer hours) / 8:30am (winter hours). \n\n\nWhere: Ride departs from the PNC Bank on Wisconsin and M NW \n\nPace: All paces and levels of expertise are welcomed. However\, this is *NOT* a no-drop ride. There will be a couple re-group points throughout the ride\, but riders are expected to know the route and get themselves to the re-group point(s).\n\nDistance: Anywhere from ~30-40 miles roundtrip to the BP gas station at the intersection of Falls Rd and River Rd\, to 100+ miles.\nRoutes: These are the typical routes we follow with occasional variations to mix it up. Variations are generally decided on the ride. All rides include a rolling pick up in Georgetown at Wisconsin and M NW. Our RideWithGPS library with the Saturday ride route options including cue sheets: https://ridewithgps.com/collections/23095\n\nRequired: Helmet\, flat repair kit and a basic knowledge of the ride route in the event of separation.\n\nFeel free to post your ride goals to this discussion or the club website thread to see what other people are planning. Post your preferred pace and desired distance to confirm that there will be other riders going at your pace.

SUMMARY:Sunday No-Drop Group Bike Rides
DESCRIPTION:Sunday No-Drop Rides Return for 2026 Season 🚴 \nInterested in riding with a group but not sure how? Want to explore the DMV by bike but feel unsure about riding on the roads? Or just looking for a relaxed social ride each week? \nStarting Sunday\, April 5\, our weekly no-drop rides return for the 2026 season! \nThese rides are designed to be welcoming and supportive for riders building confidence in group riding. The typical pace is 12–17 mph\, and all rides are led by DC Tri Club volunteers. “No drop” means the group rides together the entire time\, has regroup points along the way and we try to have a sweep on each ride. \nNew this year:We’ll start with short\, low-key routes and gradually build over the summer toward the Elite Team’s Fall Foliage Ride. Each route will repeat for one month\, so if you miss a week\, you can easily jump back in. \nWe’ll also offer a short pre-ride mini-class before each ride covering helpful skills like: \n\n\nChanging a flat \n\n\nGroup riding communication \n\n\nBasic road safety \n\n\nSimple first aid \n\n\n⏰ Intros and Mini Class will start at 8:30 AM and Rides start promptly at 8:45 AM on Sundays (start time may adjust as summer heat picks up! Check the group for updates each week!)📍 Routes & meeting locations\, all in the DMV\, are published at least 1-week in advance in the member connect group (linked on this page\, called ‘Sunday Bike Rides Group’ or accessed here) \nPlease also join the club’s Ride with GPS account (free) so you can download the route before the ride. \nQuestions? Post in the group or email president@dctriclub.org.
