SUMMARY:2025 Fall Foliage Ride - hosted by the DCTriClub Elite Team
DESCRIPTION:The 13th annual Fall Foliage Ride! The DC Tri Club Elite Team invite you to join us on a leisurely ride to take in the fall foliage along the roads of Montgomery County! The ride will be an easy 40ish miles with stops along the way for apple pie and apple cider\, coffee and lattes\, and a winery for wine tastings or bottles of goodness. If there is any energy or interest left at the end of the day\, we can go grab brunch after the winery. \n\n\nThis ride is open to all club members and friends/family who want to join. Please keep in mind: this is a fun\, leisure ride. There are no sprint stages\, no KOMs\, etc. We will move at a leisurely pace (though please remember that everyone’s leisurely pace is different!)\, so if you have to get back at a certain time\, you might need to move on from the group at some point. \n\n\nThere is no cost to this ride as it’s really just a group of us getting together to ride and have fun. We are stopping at an orchard\, a coffee shop\, and a winery. Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own items at these venues. \n\n\nCue sheets will be provided for all riders who want them. GPS Route will be posted closer to the ride date. \n\nThere is plenty of FREE parking at Riley’s Lock. We encourage carpooling and ride sharing to cut down on car emissions (and we encourage carpool singalongs while sharing rides together!).

DESCRIPTION:we are going to hit the trails of Rock Creek for our annual Spooky 5K Trail Run! Get your costume ideas ready. Get your dog’s costume ready! We will have some snacks and drinks\, and after our last finisher is in (please stick around to cheer everyone in!)\, we will have some fun awards! All speeds welcome! All club members welcome! \nEvent: Spooky 5K Trail Run & Chili Cook-Off \nDate: Sunday November 3\, 2024 \nCheck-in/Warmup: 3:00PM \nGeneral Start: 3:30PM \nLocation: Picnic Grove #6 Rock Creek Park. This is just north of the intersection of Beach Dr with Military Rd. This section is open to cars. \nAddress: 696 Beach Dr NW\, Washington\, DC 20012 \nNote on Distance: This is a trail run 5K and is ONE clockwise loop. The trail is single-track in a lot of areas and does climb and descend through Rock Creek Park! If there are leaves or it has recently rained\, the course could be slippery! Note on Timing: This is meant to be for fun and for club camaraderie.
