Fort Ritchie Triathlon & Duathlon 2021

Description: This triathlon, designed for all levels, has two distances (Olympic and Sprint) and will start and end at Fort Ritchie in Cascade, MD…..just 20 minutes from Frederick, MD and Hagerstown, MD, and 90 minutes from Baltimore and DC. Fort Ritchie is an old military base that is being converted to a private residential community. The property is a beautiful venue for multisport racing and will also host the Fort Ritchie Duathlon the same day.
Race Limit: 800 participants (combined)
USA Triathlon State Championships: We are very excited to be chosen, by USA Triathlon, as the Maryland Age Group State Championship as well as the Maryland High School State Championship at the Fort Ritchie Sprint Triathlon in Cascade, Maryland on August 1, 2021. There is no qualification or extra money needed to be a part of the championships. ALL who are registered for the FORT RITCHIE (SPRINT OR OLYMPIC DISTANCE) TRIATHLON are automatically entered into the USAT Maryland Age Group State Championship. All high schoolers registered for the FORT RITCHIE SPRINT TRIATHLON will be automatically entered into the USAT Maryland High School State Championship! Find out more HERE.
Giving: The Fort Ritchie Triathlon will help support the Fort Ritchie Community Center. The Center strives to create and provide healthy lifestyle and leisure activities, foster community traditions, and promote cultural development through the arts, education, sports, technology, and natural resources to enhance the quality of life for the residents and users of Fort Ritchie and surrounding communities.
