We are in! Can´t wait!! yay! A&M
Seems a couple of people might be interested in brunch...
The race is at 7:30--let's say we'll all be done or nearly done by 8:30... we could make a 9:30 brunch and beat most of the crowds (especially if we have a reservation!).
Old Ebbitt is quite good and fairly close, though it can get a little expensive.
There's also Front Page, who I hear from a colleague has a great brunch. They open at 10 AM.
Other ideas? Thoughts?
E-mail me if you are interested!

I'm in! Pacing a friend to make sure she qualifies for National. She is going to need a stiff drink after, so lets certainly do brunch. I'm game for anywhere, as long as they have drinks (Jager :-).
I'm in! Seems like I miss this every year b/c there's a xmas party the night before. I'm not missing it this time and want to get some use of my santa outfit! ;)
Not sure we can go to brunch b/c family is in town but Front Page in Ballston has an AWESOME brunch!!!
Court, bring the family to brunch! We'll make it fun for them! :-)
There was some talk at the Turkey Trot today to try and organize a meeting area for DC Tri Club members for both before and after the race. Maybe set up a tent? I am able to help before and after if someone has a tent and/or another idea for helping to coordinate.
p.s. brunch sounds great too.
I'm in for this race! Whitlow's in Arlington is a good post-race brunch spot.
If I don't die this weekend at Seattle mary, I'll probably be there. Fat, red santa cap, and I may try to find some domesticated animal to propel me along as I shout its name.
We should definitely get the tent out for this one! It would be fun to have hot cider or hot chocolate or something.
How do people feel about going to Virginia for brunch? Whitlows? Front Page? Talk to me. I'll set it up. :)
And T, there's no way you'll die in Seattle! You'll kick that marathon's butt.
Hey! I spoke to the race directors, and we are welcome have a club tent near the start/finish line in West Potomac Park! This will be a great place to meet before and after the race to socialize.
What's better: a club member's bag drop and hot beverages!!
Club Member Bag Drop
For a chilly day, it's nice to have an extra layer for before and after the race! Bring a bag you can identify and feel free to leave it at the tent while you're running.
The club will be providing hot chocolate and coffee for after the race. Come get your bag, layer up, and have a drink! (You're on your own for peppermint schnapps and Bailey's.)
Not running, but want to socialize? Have a significant other or family in town planning to come to the race? We need 1-2 volunteers to watch gear at the tent and someone to pickup and deliver the hot beverages. Contact me at abby.sanford19 at yahoo.com if you have volunteer nominations or can do it yourself.
That's awesome Abby! thanks for organizing. I heard the bag drop from last year's race was disorganized, so having our own tent and bag drop will make everyone else jealous :)
I'm running, but let me know if you need help setting up.
Well, Patrick Serfass gets credit for the bag drop idea!
Maybe instead of inciting envy, we'll get a bunch of people who want to join our club! :)
Excellent idea. Guess I need to find my red hat...
I'm in for this one .. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
My festive outfit and I are in! Bag drop and hot beverages sound fantastic!
