Has anyone done Waterman's sprint/oly/half?

I was thinking of doing one of the Waterman's distances (trying to decide if I want to do the 1/2 or not) on Oct. 13th or 14th.

Anybody have an opinion on the race organization or the venue? Anybody signed up already?

Thanks! :-)

I did a half relay last year. Loved it! Well organized, small, you can do packet pickup the morning of the race. Low key but well run.

She's got a few rollers on the bike and run. I'm signed up for the Sprint.

How bad is the grass in the water anyway?

This is the general smallwood course, 'cept for the half. The swim is pretty icky, with hydrilla (or whatever it's called) just taking over that bay. I actually spent enough time in the weeds to get used to it and over that fear now. I say those words because I want to believe them. ;-)
The bike is fine. Rolling, but reasonably fast. As long as the trucks don't block the course, it's ok.
The run is moderately hilly. For the club champ, it was hot. It should actually be nice if the weather is cooler.
Still deciding if I'm in for the sprint. Probably. It's local, so I'd go down morning of. It's well run and not pricey, so that's also a plus.

Thanks for all the great info, I think I'm leaning on the Olympic distance (being on Sunday is my excuse - better for my schedule). Cya there for the folks going this year!
