Anybody riding tomorrow?
Yes, I'm looking to go about 50-60 miles, leaving from Gtown at 7:00. Who's with me??
See you at 7.
Anyone planning on riding this Saturday? Looking to go around 60-65, so a little past the T if anyone is interested. Planning on a 7 am departure from Gtown.
I'm looking to do a long ride, but don't know where to go! Slowtwitchva: I want to do closer to 100, but can try and make up the miles after if you want.
Otherwise I'm open to suggestions.
You guys are getting an early start to planning for the weekend!
I'm back in for Saturday. Most likely to Great Falls and back to get my legs back together. I have a weekend full of wedding festivities, so I'll be sticking to the 7:10 clip in at Cap Hill. Since you guys are going longer and probably faster, don't feel obligated to wait the extra half hour for me.
Still planning on rolling from Gtown at 7. Heading out River road, 5 miles past the T, then turning back and taking the Glen Road backroads on the return. Who's with me??
I'm likely to be clipping in on the 7:10 Hill, 7:30 Gtown roll thru if you all want to go then.
7:30 in Gtown it is. Are the lightning/rain storms supposed to hold off?
I'm in. See you at 8th and Penn SE just before 7:10
Anyone interested in riding Sunday AM instead of Sat?
I'm interested in riding on Sunday. Also interested in a ride around 80 mi, maybe to Sugarloaf, though I don't remember how to get there.
Is this ride on for Saturday, Aug. 6? Happen to be any 16-19mph riders? I would love to join if so. Also only looking to do 40 miles. Possible? Will head to Hains Pt directly to swim and run after that!
Hi Liz! There is a new, "All Speeds" ride on Sunday, thanks to the fabulous Carrie Campbell. I'm in the process of putting the permanent content online right now, but here is the forum thread:
I'm planning to clip in tomorrow (Saturday), 7:30 from g'town. Making the turn at Oaklyn and heading back. Hope to see a few of you out there.
Brady and all-
We're heading over from the Hill at 7a. See you in Gtown at 7:30a.
If you are still planning to ride on Saturday, most of the folks that are heading out this week generally fall into the 20-22mph category. You mentioned you were looking for 16-19 so I wanted to post the general speed so you could have full knowledge when getting out of bed tomorrow morning. If you ride closer to 19mph, you can probably stick on to the back of the group. If you are closer to 16 for an average, it might be a tough ride to jump into and Sunday may be better unless anyone else is planning to ride in that 16-19 range.
I'm planning on heading out at 7 from the Hill with the group. I have to turn back before Great Falls to get to an obligation at 9am. I've also been dealing with some pain so may have to drop out even earlier than planned.
Has anyone ever had any cycling related interior knee pain? The pain is similar to IT band pain only it's localized on the inside of the knee, just to the inside of the knee cap. It feel fine on the run, just bugging me on the bike. If anyone has any tips, let me know.
See you tomorrow.
Yo Eric, long time no see. Looking to do 50-60 tomorrow. Friend Pavla is joining--we'll probably both be on tri bkes and should be able to keep up--we'll see. She wants to do 70, but I am a bit time crunched. See you in Gtown at 730.
Great group out there yesterday. Nice steady pace both out and back which was nice. Eric, you were right... I thought it was all downhill on Mass. after the first hill. I had to do some work to make it to Dupont by 9:00.
A couple of people seemed unfamiliar with the route so I wanted to re-post this information. Full ride details are routinely updated on the original post in this thread.
Routes: Thanks to Chad for the maps/cue sheets (Cue sheets available by clicking the 'notes' tab). These are the typical routes we follow with occasional variations to mix it up. Variations are generally decided on the ride. All rides include a rolling pick up in Georgetown at Wisconsin and M NW.

Usual suspects headed out again this weekend? Looking to get in 60ish if possible.
