I echo what Kelly said. If you have a watch or heart rate monitor it will frequently adjust to your resting heart rate and field tests (20-30 minute efforts). Doing a lactic threshold test is ideal if you want to be more accurate.

Yes you can skip the swim. Come find me (coach Kate) tomorrow.

You are allowed to start the bike when the first person exits the swim. It helps with our race flow to do it that way.

There are campsites but I believe they are all filled. Some people drive back and forth. Some people get campsites at other locations. some people get hotels.

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that.

You can completely come and just hang out! All the clinics are Saturday but if you also want to come Sunday, I’d recommend volunteering, ha also because I’m the volunteer coordinator 😉

Hi Jackie,

Yes, there was a change. We were trying to work on something onsite but it fell through. There is a PMan deal with WheelNutz. Bonsai is another local rental place. Lots of wet suit rental options!

Hi Natalie,

There will be packet pick-up Saturday (usually around 4/5pm) or Sunday before the race.

If you signed up for the Super Sprint, then yes, the OWS clinic is included on Saturday.

If you signed up for the regular sprint then no, the OWS is not included.

Be aware that the multi-use trails are quite busy on the weekends, especially around parking lots. Make yourself known when passing pedestrians – be loud. Say “good morning” or “passing” or “on your left”

Renters insurance usually covers bikes – you need a receipt and I recommend taking photos with a time stamp (can that still be done on phones?). Check with your renters policy.

Bikes are NOT covered under most home owners insurance.

There are some bike insurances but they usually are only worth it if your bike REALLY expensive.
