Is Anyone else staying at the Days Inn in Elkton before our race on Sat?  I’m looking for a ride to the event from the hotel Sat morning as my wife and kids will be with me but they would like to come a little later – not the time we need to be there to check in 🙂

    Thanks Robert – bert@vt.edu

    Looking forward to Sunday.

As a newbie swimmer breathing and mechanics is what I work on constantly – This article seemed to touch on these things – I found it helpful.

I also struggled through the run yesterday – A 50 min run usually goes down smooth but my legs were fatigued after 2 miles.  I got through most of it but it definitely didn’t feel like normal.  I moved my rest day from Friday to Sat.  Maybe I pushed a bit too hard on the bike Friday.  Sat was my “rest” day but I was in the pool with the kids all day (Great Wolf Lodge) so that “rest” day may also have had something to do with it as well.  I’ve felt that fatigue in my legs before so I figured body was not fully recovered yet.

One more question – on the same page there are more or less 4 forums geared to the 4 programs – however could there be overlap in discussions?  I’m OK not receiving emails from the other forums but it would be nice to be able to access the other forums.  Currently I can only see of the paid programs the one i signed up for – ODP.

Quick Question – In Training Peaks for the ODP basic training program it mentions this is the “recovery week”. It seems counter to having the bike and run lactate tests during the recovery week. What am I missing?

I thought overall this 1st clinic was very helpful for me.  I have some experience in running so it was great to hear things I hand’t heard in some time and was great to learn new things.

The swim for me is where I felt I got the most out of.  I thought the info was great, digesting in a short amount of time was challenging, but I left with more confidence and things to specifically work on.

I’m personally looking forward to peasant man since I will not be able to make the clinic on March 10.  Any other clinics regarding swim/open water swim and bike would be the top of my list to attend.

Thanks to everyone that made the clinic happen, there was a lot I got out!
