Hi David, that would be great! I need to get back on the Saturday as I have some friends visiting, so might take the greyhound back Saturday afternoon.
Is there any chance that I could leave my bike on your rack and pick it up from you when you get back to DC on Sunday? No worries if not, I’ll see if someone has a spare space on their rack. My number’s 202-568-4836 if you want to discuss details.
Hi Emily, sorry for the late reply, I was abroad and for some reason unable to access the DC Tri website! Yes I’d definitely be up for renting a car, though can’t actually contribute to the driving myself (sorry). Would you be ok to drive? If so, I’m happy to make the booking for wherever’s convenient.
I think that Ron (Adomako) is also looking for a lift, so might be interested in splitting a car rental as well.
I’m also sadly in need of a ride and live around U street, though can meet anywhere in DC. If anyone has room, you can text me at 202-568-4836. I’m happy to pay for gas, parking and all that jazz 🙂 .
Cheers!
Tim
Thanks, that might be helpful! I’ll let you know nearer the time.
Cheers
Steven, I’d be up for sharing a car rental too if there isn’t a car share/bike rack available. I’ll keep an eye on the wider club forum as there’s bound to be non-NTP people going.
Also, Jessi kindly offered me the final camping spot on her site!
Sounds good, I’ll be there at 8:30!
For anyone looking for a group to go running with, a couple of us on the NTP run with the DC Capital Striders on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
The group meets at 6:30am at the southern end of Rabaut Park and the runs are between 4 and 4.5 miles at a variety of paces from about 8:30 min/mile to 10:00 min/mile. It’s a very friendly group and most people chat whilst jogging along. There are between 6 and 20 people at each run, depending on how cold it is.
More details can be found on the meetup page:

A friendly, long-standing neighborhood run. Many regulars forget to RSVP, so there might be a large group even if there are small numbers here. You should RSVP: we make no promises unless you sign up.Questions? Email the organizers at [masked].Routes/Pace: typically 4 to 5 miles, from 8:00 to 10:00 min/mi. We run in Rock Creek P…
A NTP Strava group would be good! I’d be happy to set it up, though there might be an advantage to one of the co-leads doing it so that it can go in the newsletter etc.
I’d be up for a coffee!
