Fantastic ideas, Abri! You are absolutely correct…not every day must be a swim, bike or run day! There is a lot of research that suggests mixing it up can benefit you just as much. Rent a mountain bike and hit the trails! Do some rock climbing. Kayaking is excellent upper body strengthening.
Thank you for thinking outside of the box. In the end, all of this is meant to be enjoyable. So go enjoy your surroundings wherever they take you! And thank you for teaching high schoolers. That is it’s own Ironman! 🙂
