Great feedback. Like coach AJ mentioned, you want to start practicing everything right now.

Something I have been doing, and just like coach AJ recommended, is weighting myself before and after my bike and run workouts to see how much water and nutrition I am actually consuming. Something I am struggling with is drinking enough water/electrolytes during my bike workouts, I realize that I still have a bottle left after I am done. No bueno.

Nutrition is definitely the 4th sport of a triathlon, there are so many factors to consider. I see nutrition as a rather complex aspect of this sport. Lately, I have been SUPER hungry even though I am following the instruction of how much protein you should consume per your body weight in kg, packing my meals every day as well as my snacks, etc. It is exhausting.

What I use:

  • Energy drink prior to my workouts (Rari Infinity – this is a vegetarian based drink)
  • I also drink Osmo for my electrolytes
  • Water
  • GU
    • Like Cindy, I also consume non-caffeinated and caffeinated
  • Honey Stinger waffles and energy chews

Other drinks I know others use:

  • Skratch
  • Infinit
  • G2
  • Gatorade Endurance
