Does anyone else out there end up with what feels like a bad cold after swimming? Sore throat, runny sneezy nose and possibly a low grade fever? I just started using a nose plug which seems to help, but I am still getting sick. I am going to start taking a benedryl before each workout. Looking for more solutions…ideas anyone?

I’ve heard people say that the chlorine in a pool helps fight colds.

But it’s likely wiser to advise taking a break from such a public place and following the traditional cold and flu remedies.

You could try finding a pool that uses Bromine instead of Chlorine and see if that helps. I don’t know any off the top of my head that use it though, so you’ll have to do a little research. Hope that helps and hope you feel better!!
