<span style=”font-family: Lato, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: medium;”>”WABA’s Vasa Ride, a tribute to the Swedish Vasaloppet ski race, is the first organized ride of the year for many area bicyclists. Riders choose from a 16-mile route through DC or a 31- or 59-mile route through the rolling hills of Montgomery County, MD and Washington, DC. All Vasa Ride participants are invited inside the House of Sweden after the ride to celebrate Spring and enjoy the traditional Swedish treat of warm blueberry soup.

Vernon Trail, Martha Custis Trail, and Capital Crescent Trail. We will have ample bike parking so make sure you <em style=”box-sizing: border-box; border: 0px; font-family: inherit; font-weight: inherit; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;”>*bring your own bike lock.* We encourage riders to label their lock ahead of time and leave their lock locked to our racks for use when they return from the ride to enjoy the blueberry soup and warm up inside the House of Sweden.

There is a nearby pay-to-park lot at K and Wisconsin Streets NW. If arriving by public transit, the closest metro is Foggy Bottom. Note that the Blue Line will be affected by Safetrack on the day of the ride, so plan accordingly. There are also several bus lines that go along M St in Georgetown, including a Circulator bus, all of which have bike racks on the front.
