Some of us clubbers will be swimming at the Takoma Park pool on Dec. 31. 8 am to 11 am. Bring snacks, fins, swim buoys, whatever: The goal is to swim as much as you like to close out the year. The pool is open that day well into the afternoon if you want to swim more.

I’m planning to do the Crossing Currents open water swim in Riva, MD on Sunday morning, June 1, if anybody is interested. Great chance to get a practice in with your wetsuit while it’s still cool. I have a few spots in my car, leaving from NW DC around 8am if anybody needs a ride.

Club partner WaveOne Swimming will start its twice-weekly Potomac River swims at National Harbor, MD on Sunday, June 1.

And its annual Washington’s Crossing swim across the Potomac has been moved to July 12.

I am planning to swim at Sandy Point State Park (about 1 hour East of DC) on Friday, May 2. Join me for an early season open water swim!
