Welcome to DCTriClub.org, the DC Triathlon Club (“DC Tri” or “We” or “Us), we’re open to all Washington, D.C. area triathletes, young and old, novice and veteran athletes alike. This site and membership is intended for users in the United States.

TERMS OF USE. The following Terms of Use set forth the conditions for accessing or using DCTriClub.org and its subdomains (collectively, the “Website”). DC Tri will modify and update these Terms of Use without prior notice. Any such changes become effective immediately upon publication to the Website; therefore, you should visit this page as needed to review the most current update.

USERS. All individuals and entities that access or use the Website for any reason agree to comply with all of these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, then your sole remedy is to not use this Website or any services or information provided therein.

PROHIBITED USES. You agree to use the Website in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You agree to not misuse the Website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, malware, logic bombs or other material which is or may be malicious or technologically harmful. You agree to not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, the server on which the Website is stored or any server, computer or database connected to the Website or logging into a server or account which You are not authorized to access.

DISCLAIMER. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DC Tri disclaims all warranties, and makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the use of this Website or any services or information provided therein.

DC Tri is not responsible or liable for any viruses or other contamination of your system or for any delays, inaccuracies, errors or omissions arising out of your use of the website or with respect to the material contained on the website, including without limitation, any material posted on the website. Messaging Terms & Conditions

General

When you opt-in to the service, we will send you a message to confirm your signup.

By opting into messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from DC Tri. Automated messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system to the mobile telephone number you provided when signing up or any other number that you designate.

Message frequency varies, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with DC Tri. DC Tri reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time to increase or decrease the total number of sent messages. DC Tri also reserves the right to change the short code or phone number or alphanumeric sender where messages are sent

Your usual message and data rates may apply. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your mobile provider. Your mobile provider is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchase.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cancellation

Messages will provide instructions to unsubscribe either by texting STOP or through an included link. After you unsubscribe, we will send you a message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed and no more messages will be sent. If you would like to receive messages from DC Tri again, just sign up as you did the first time and DC Tri will start sending messages to you again.

If we include a link in messages we send you from DC Tri Club, you may also access instructions on how to unsubscribe and our company information by following that link.

Transfer of Number

You agree that before changing your mobile number or transferring your mobile number to another individual, you will either reply “STOP” from the original number or notify us of your old number at [email protected]. The duty to inform us based on the above events is a condition of using this service to receive messages.

Capture and Use of Information.
Registration. If you participate in interactive activities (registration, message boards, member activities, email, forums, e-commerce, etc.) on DC Tri, you may be asked to register for a password and/or to provide information on submission forms. Unique identifiers, such as IDs and passwords, are collected to verify your identity and for use in our record system. Your contact information may also be used to contact you when necessary for service reasons.
Financial information that is collected is used only to bill you for products and services that you specifically request.

Cookies. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Generally, cookies work by assigning to your computer a unique number that has no meaning outside of our site. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information; we use them to provide features such as personalization, to save your member ID, and to keep track of your shopping cart. We may also use cookies to assist us in delivering content specific to your interests. Additionally, after you’ve entered your member ID and password on our service, we save that information so you don’t have to re-enter it repeatedly. It is DC Tri’s policy not to release any personally identifying information about you without your consent (usually obtained through an “opt-out” option that you may select when providing the information or by updating your private profile). General Privacy Information. DC Tri makes various public forums (such as message boards, email networks, or news groups) available to its users. You are solely responsible for any postings you make on public forums on DC Tri, and for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you’re online. Further, the DC Tri website contains links to sponsors, advertisers and third party Internet sites and services that may collect data in connection with registrations, promotions, e-commerce, etc. DC Tri is also linked to by, and in some cases framed by, certain partner web sites. Security. DC Tri uses a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Credit card numbers are encrypted in DC Tri’s secure third party payments provider database which is located behind a firewall. Personal information collected on DC Tri is stored in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public. All credit card and registration information supplied by users is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

Protecting Yourself. You can help to protect your information by safeguarding your DC Tri password and member ID, using caution and discretion when posting information on public areas of the DC Tri website, and by learning more about internet privacy from Web sites such as TRUSTe (www.truste.com).

MEMBERSHIPS. Memberships are available for 1-year, 2-year, and 3-year terms. Membership fees vary and may change over time.
