FAQ

Q: I need to run more/less than the group. How do I join?
A: You can run 10 miles before the meetup and 10 miles after. That way, you’ll still get your full 20 in and can join us for the post-run breakfast! If you are at 3 miles join us at the breakfast spot after

Q: What if I’m slower/faster than others?
A: No worries at all β€” everyone runs their own pace and distance. Some folks push the pace, others take it easy. You do you! There’s zero pressure to stick with a group, and you’ll still see friendly faces before and after the run and on the trail (especially at breakfast ).

Sunday No-Drop Rides Return for 2026 Season 🚴

Interested in riding with a group but not sure how? Want to explore the DMV by bike but feel unsure about riding on the roads? Or just looking for a relaxed social ride each week?

Starting Sunday, April 5, our weekly no-drop rides return for the 2026 season!

These rides are designed to be welcoming and supportive for riders building confidence in group riding. The typical pace is 12–17 mph, and all rides are led by DC Tri Club volunteers. β€œNo drop” means the group rides together the entire time, has regroup points along the way and we try to have a sweep on each ride.

New this year:
We’ll start with short, low-key routes and gradually build over the summer toward the Elite Team’s Fall Foliage Ride. Each route will repeat for one month, so if you miss a week, you can easily jump back in.

We’ll also offer a short pre-ride mini-class before each ride covering helpful skills like:

  • Changing a flat

  • Group riding communication

  • Basic road safety

  • Simple first aid

⏰ Intros and Mini Class will start at 8:30 AM and Rides start promptly at 8:45 AM on Sundays (start time may adjust as summer heat picks up! Check the group for updates each week!)
πŸ“ Routes & meeting locations, all in the DMV, are published at least 1-week in advance in the member connect group (linked on this page, called ‘Sunday Bike Rides Group’ or accessed here)

Please also join the club’s Ride with GPS account (free) so you can download the route before the ride.

Questions? Post in the group or email [email protected].
