Since 1984, the Reston Triathlon has been a staple in our community. It begins with a 1500-meter open water swim in Lake Audubon, followed by a 25-mile bike ride and a 10K run on local paths. The Olympic distance event has challenged athletes from around the country and has affectionately been called the Reston Triathlon World Championship.
The Credit Union Cherry Blossom 5K Run-Walk and 10 miler are part of a weekend of events including an expo.

SUNDAY, APRIL 12, 2026: 7:30 am 10 Mile race starts
Join us for the exciting start of your journey in one of our advanced programs: Olympic, Half-Ironman or Ironman distance.
In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your coach, co-leads, and fellow program participants. We will discuss the program’s structure, key expectations, and the milestones ahead. This is where it all begins – get ready to dive in and make the most of this transformative experience!
