New year, new finish lines — and we’re excited to announce where our DC Tri Club programs are headed in 2027. Whether you’re lining up for your very first triathlon or taking on 140.6 miles, our club goal races give you the chance to put months of training into action surrounded by your DC Tri teammates.
🏁 New Triathlete Program Goal Races
Sprint & Olympic Distance
Kinetic Jamestown Triathlon
June 13, 2027, Williamsburg, VA
Our 2027 New Triathlete Program (NTP) athletes will head to Jamestown for their goal race, with options for both Sprint and Olympic distance.
For many NTP athletes, this will be a first triathlon, first open-water race, first Olympic-distance finish — or some combination of all three. After months of learning, training, practicing transitions, asking extremely important questions about wetsuits, and discovering just how early triathletes are willing to wake up on weekends, it all comes together at Jamestown. And, as always, the rest of the club is invited to race, cheer, volunteer, and help make this weekend a big DC Tri celebration.
The NTP Goal Race is also marks one of the largest club race of the year. In 2026, we hade 120+ club members participate. 🥳
🏁 Advanced Program Goal Races
Our Advanced Program athletes will have three goal race opportunities across Olympic, 70.3, and full IRONMAN distances.
Olympic Distance Program
Kinetic Jamestown Olympic Triathlon
June 13, 2027, Williamsburg, VA
Our Olympic Distance Program athletes will join the NTP crew at Jamestown, giving us one very big DC Tri contingent across the Sprint and Olympic starting lines.
IRONMAN 70.3 Distance Program
IRONMAN 70.3 Musselman
July 11, 2027, Geneva, NY
For the 70.3 crew, we’re heading to the Finger Lakes for Ironman 70.3 Musselman — a summer race weekend and the perfect opportunity to tackle 70.3 miles alongside a whole lot of familiar faces. Musselman offers a beautiful mid-summer setting in Geneva, New York, and is a great opportunity for first-time 70.3 athletes and experienced racers alike to tackle the distance alongside a strong DC Tri contingent.
IRONMAN Distance Program
IRONMAN Chattanooga
September 26, 2027, Chattanooga, TN
And for the full-distance athletes, the road leads to Chattanooga.
Ironman Chattanooga is known for an incredible race atmosphere and enthusiastic community support, making it a fantastic destination for DC Tri members taking on 140.6 miles. Whether it’s your first 140.6 or your next one, there’s something pretty special about taking on the big day alongside teammates who have shared the training, long rides, early alarms, nerves, and questionable decisions that got you there.
Sign ups to the NTP program will open January 1, 2027.
Sign ups to the Advance Programs will open November 27, 2026.
Be on the lookout for more information in the newsletter.

🎟️Why Goal Races Matter
Goal Races are about more than choosing the same event. They create opportunities for members to connect throughout the season, share training and race-day experiences, coordinate travel and meetups, and have plenty of DC Tri support along the course. Not only is it fun to high five fellow club members on the run course for that extra 5% speed, but it also comes with cool perks.
For Kinetic Multisport races, we get dedicated bike racks, reserved for DC Tri Club members.
Through the IRONMAN TriClub program, DC Tri can earn complimentary race entries based on member participation:
– 1 complimentary entry for every 10 DC Tri members registered for an IRONMAN
– 1 complimentary entry for every 20 DC Tri members registered for an IRONMAN 70.3
In 2026, 40 DC Tri members registered for Eagleman 70.3 and 20 registered for IRONMAN Lake Placid, earning the club four complimentary entries valued at more than $3,000.
And we’re giving all four back to our members.
📝 2027 Complimentary Entry Raffle
DC Tri Club members can enter to win one of four complimentary 2027 race entries:
2027 Goal Race Entries
– 1 entry to IRONMAN 70.3 Musselman — July 11, 2027
– 1 entry to IRONMAN Chattanooga — September 26, 2927
Additional Race Entries
– 1 entry to an eligible 2027 IRONMAN 70.3 race
– 1 entry to an eligible 2027 IRONMAN race
For the two flexible entries, winners are not required to choose a DC Tri Goal Race — although we highly encourage it. Strong participation in our Goal Races helps the club continue earning complimentary entries that can be reinvested in our membership in future seasons.
🎟️ How to Enter
– The raffle is open to current DC Tri Club members who are affiliated with DC Tri Club on their IRONMAN profile.
– Members may enter the drawing for any or all four entries, but each person may win only one entry total.
– Entries must be used by the winner and may not be transferred. Complimentary entries cannot be used for sold-out races, relay entries, or World Championship events.
Raffle dates: October 7–25, 2026
