It’s Rock ‘n Roll DC time!

If you aren’t running, we’d love to have more volunteers at our aid station in Rock Creek Park just north of P St. The shift is from 7 – 11:30 AM. It’s a great way to give back and your fellow runners will appreciate it! For more information about volunteering at the Rock Creek hydration station and how to sign up: Click here

Start times: 5 k – 7.45 am, Half – 8 am

6:30am to 8:00am: Packet pickup – 1600 Meter Race
6:30am to 9:00am: Packet pickup – 2400 Meter Race
7:30am: Pre-race meeting
7:45am: 800 warm up
8:00am: 800 Meter Race begins
8:45am: 1600 warm up
9:00am: 1600 Meter Race begins
9:45am: 2400 warm up
10:00am: 2400 Meter Race begins

The Kinetic Pleasants Landing time trial swim takes place in the southeast portion of Lake Anna, about 1/4 mile from where the “hot side” of Lake Anna empties into the cold side, resulting in water temperatures that are 4-6 degree’s warmer than the rest of the lake at this time of year. The Olympic starts at 9AM and the Sprint starts at 9:30AM. The race site and finish line are surrounded by water and have a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the West.

The Kinetic Patriots Triathlon is a great end of season race. The time trial swim takes place at beautiful Jamestown beach where you can watch Osprey catch their breakfast or see a pod of dolphins swim along the course. The bike course is flat, fast and parallels the Cap-Cap bike trail along Rt. 5. The run course is simply amazing as it winds through historic farmland and forest on a combination of bike paths and jogging trails.
