What do you think about while swimming all those laps? In addition to watching the clock to keep track of my pace and laps, I think about my damn non-breathing side elbow and keeping it high along with rotating my hips.  Apparently when I breathe, the opposite arm has trouble clearing the water when it comes around.  It has been a problem for years and every time I think I have it fixed, a coach informs me otherwise.
What’s something you just can’t live without? Dogs!  Always a sucker for any dog with their sweet eyes and doggie antics.
What is the biggest mistake you’ve made in a triathlon? My biggest mistake/struggle is getting to the start line on time and it is one that is still a challenge.  I always misjudge the time and end up rushing in at the last minute. It drives me bonkers but on the positive side my adrenaline is ramped up before I start.  I really have no excuse since I have been racing 15 years but I can get chatty during transition setup and usually misjudge the bathroom lines.
