Eva Kodouskova
February, 2020In 2017, Eva joined her coworkers and signed up for a sprint triathlon in Upstate New York. Without a wetsuit or bike shoes, she got on a podium and qualified for the AG Nationals. Eva enjoyed the competition and the supportive and fun atmosphere of the triathlon community and decided to give the triathlon a try. After two years of racing, she qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Nice. Eva’s next big challenge is the full Ironman.

Athletic Background: I swam for a few years as a child but fairly early shifted my focus to basketball. By the time I finished high school, I played on a professional basketball team in the Czech Republic and made the U20 National team. Until covid, I played basketball on a local rec league in DC.
Strengths on the course: Staying focused on my own race.
Goals for 2023: I am racing my first full ironman distance race in Lake Placid!
Favorite Places To Train: The Mall, McArthur to Potomac rides, the Skyline Drive
Favorite thing when not swimming, biking, or running: I like spending my time outdoors hiking and camping. I enjoy reading books in a hammock with a glass of wine. I also like to draw.
Favorite food: Pasta!
Fun Fact: I am 6′ 3″ and have to wear a Men’s Small Tall wetsuit
