Tour de DC Tri Stage 8

We’re overdue for another NoVa or Cap Hill ride so this week let’s do a fun Anacostia loop that covers both sides! It’s a fast and mostly flat loop with a couple of hills. We’ll avoid as many trails as possible and go along Potomac Ave which if you’ve never tried runs parallel to the Mt Vernon trail and is a great…[Read more]

Tour de DC Tri Stage 7

Since it’s a long weekend, let’s try a longer route to Olney! This is a great route from Eric from Potomac Peddlars that will show you how to get from Rock Creek all the way to northern Montgomery County and Howard County. Tour de DC Tri Stage 3 Results

Here are the results for Stage 3, from Anacostia to Brookland. Probably should have warned that this stage was mostly trails so it can be hard to go fast, particularly on a nice day when the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail can get crowded and how narrow the Rhode Island Trolley Trail can be in some spots. The top 3…[Read more]

Tour de DC Stage 1 Results

Congrats to everyone that participated in Stage 1! We had about 10 riders but it seems quite a few people veered off on a different road on the Mohican climb or skipped 34th St for the finish so Strava only picked up Jason G and Mason G for doing the whole route. Congrats to…[Read more]

No problem, you can move onto the next one Juene! There wasn’t as many for Stage 2 but that might have been a combination of the longer route and the weather.

For Stage 3, let’s head over to Anacostia to show some love to the other side of the city! This is a modified version of the WABA cider ride except in reverse where we will take the Anacostia Riverwalk trail to College Park and then the Rhode Island Trolley Trail on the way back to Brookland.

Alas there is no cider but if you’d like to turn this…[Read more]

Nice Juene. Partial credit–kudos to riding in the mud! We might have to look into a C&O and MacArthur loop as a future stage.
