Helping to share for DCAC. Their Maryland Swim for Life is on June 3 this year and includes a 1.2 and 2.4 mile swim for triathletes. A good one if you have a race later in the summer!

I would like to nominate myself, David Jiang, for another term on the DC Tri Club Board. I’ve been a member of the club since 2014 when I did NTP and was hooked. I have been on the board the past 4 years helping out with communications as well as being one of the co-leads of the winter running group. The club has been such a welcoming community w…[Read more]

Welcome Danny! Don’t think we have a happy hour this month but if you are looking for a shallow race, you could look into Ft Ritchie and Rock Hall/Waterman’s. At Rock Hall/Waterman’s there’s a sand bar in the middle.

If it’s any consideration, I think the swim is nicer at Luray as I remember Fort Ritchie having some shallow spots and grass. On the other hand, the run seemed less hilly at Fort Ritchie.

RunBikeDavid replied to the topic information on luray and culpepper olympic tri in the forum General Discussions 2 years, 2 months ago
Hi Susan, I’ve only ridden the Ft Ritchie sprint course but from what I can tell the olympic is very similar: a short but steep climb in the beginning, then a long descent, then a long climb on the same road towards the end.
