    Hi Jamila,

The Anacostia River Trail (ART) system is great and should be fairly easy for you to access. If you can get yourself across the Anacostia on the bridge behind RFK Stadium (https://goo.gl/maps/E4HSB2RDcAL2), you can then head north as far as College Park on a wonderful trail.

You could also consider joining one of the weekend group rides from Bicycle Space in Ivy City or Downtown. They do weekly Hills of Anacostia and Hills of Rock Creek rides at a social (no-drop) pace and would be a good way to learn your way around the city by bicycle.

If anything else comes to mind, I’ll post it here!

That’s definitely right, Kate! If it becomes an issue, I could make you an admin of the club and you could either send the invitations or screen the members.

Hi Jonathan — I believe at least one of the DC Tri coaches has joined. Perhaps that is him.

Also, I’ve made it an open group to begin with, since I don’t have a list of participants. If an NTP organizer shares an e-mail list with me, I could make it a closed club and send out a one-time invitation to participants..

There is a general problem in open Strava clubs of people joining groups to which they don’t have any relation. Usually those people join dozens and dozens of clubs, making them rather easy to identify. I’ll try to police that.
