Hey folks – Anyone planning to ride tomorrow? I’ll be at the Gtown stop at 7:30 and then we’ll pick up some of the elite team folks from Glen Echo as we go!

Hi Mark – was Cardozo track open normal hours for you last week?
Over the past two weeks I’ve tried to go to Wilson (maintenance), Roosevelt (maintenance), and then I tried Cardozo last Friday around 6pm and it was closed. Thx!

Thanks everyone! I used Joseph’s suggestion for Quick Spit and had perfect visibility for the swim at Kinetic this weekend. If only I had put it on my bike visor as well maybe I could have had a fog free day, but next time!

Thanks Joseph! I’ve seen a couple of different takes in terms of how far in advance to apply Quick Spit. Do you spray, leave for about 30 seconds, rinse and then swim immediately?

Hey everyone (and particularly veteran swimmers!),
At Rumpus in Bumpass a couple weeks ago I was very excited to use some new fancy goggles that came with an anti-fog coating (Special Ops TYR 2.0) for the swim. I’d used them for the first time the day before in a pool and the vision was awesome. Come race day my warm up went great, but then while…[Read more]

Hey everyone – I’ve struck out both of the last two years on the cherry blossom lottery. If anyone was lucky enough to get an entry but won’t be able to the race let me know and I’ll buy it from you before the transfer period closes on Thursday!

Thanks AJ. I hadn’t realized a 1,000 meter T-pace swim was coming up and I was a bit confused by the Athlete’s guide. There is a chart on page 17 that has zones based on the 1,000 meter T-pace (e.g., Zone 3 is T-pace), but then in the description of the 200/800 test it describes the 800 pace as Zone 2. That seemed counter-intuitive as I would have…[Read more]

Hey everyone – Hope you’re enjoying the snow! I was reading the swim training description today and am hoping someone can make sure I’m reading the terminology correctly. Here is the description:
Main Set: 5x (400 swim at T-pace, 100 finger tip drag drill, so 500 total) This is meant to be a continuous swim.
Does T-Pace mean the pace from the…[Read more]

Hi AJ – I believe at least a couple of us are in OSP and also part of the HIP program. The OSP and our training programs (targeting EagleMan) are relatively similar, though as we ramp up for EagleMan the work-outs tend to ramp up a bit more than OSP.
Do you have any advice on how to integrate OSP with our training generally? Is it reasonable to…[Read more]
