Great question! Kick enough so that you have balance in your stroke – that’s all the kick is really for in triathlon. It does help increase your speed for pacing though, so ultimately, it’s up to you on how hard to kick. You don’t ever want it to be too much that it takes away from the strength of the rest of your stroke though. Everyone has a different kick, and a different efficiency level with their kick, so make the call that’s right for you. If kicking typically wears you out, don’t kick as much 🙂
