Great question, Barbara, as there are many foam roller options out there.  That said, the more specific they get, often the less useful they are for overall use.  I would recommend that you just stick with the basic, all around, inexpensive foam roller.

That said, I have had good feedback regarding this foam roller as well.  It is a little bit more expensive however.  So be sure you are going to use it before upgrading.  I can attest to the fact that I got this foam roller in the ‘extra hard’ version and it’s so painful to use that I don’t use it.  Just some things to think about before you purchase.
