I think the one thing I would add to this is stay hydrated.  Most athletes will require additional fluids (on top of your minimum of 1 bottle per hour) to make up for the additional sweating.  This is where adding in an electrolyte supplement will be necessary as well since your body needs electrolytes to absorb your fluids (including water).  Electrolytes and hydration are your friend in warm/hot weather!
