Here are a couple of questions in advance as they relate to running and hot/humid weather.
1) When it is hot/humid I adjust my run/walk ratio to be something like 60s/30s. Are there any other racing strategies to help dealing with weather? For instance, I find it harder to breath in the heavier air. I do keep an eye on my HR to make sure it is in the right zone.
2) What kind of adjustments would one make to a nutrition plan to account for the hot/humid weather? I try to increase fluids and Electrolytes, but that only helps to a point, especially when one’s sweat rate is very high, I.e. no way to drink the quantities needed.
