I used a very low-tech approach involving the second hand on my watch. I tried to take 45 steps (with each foot) in 30 seconds and once I did that, I tried for 90 steps in 60 seconds. Once I could do it, I’d check to be sure I was running 30 steps every 20 seconds and speed up if necessary. I stopped listening to music as I ran, because counting steps took most of my available concentration and attention. Wish I could say I came up with a more impressive method!
