Oh yea.. I have moved that “day off” around a few times. I have also taken a day off to recover when I had workouts planned. The last thing you want to do is, to workout when you are mentally and physically exhausted. Sure, I missed a whole day of training, but remember, you can move workouts around.
For instance, I took Saturday completely off even though I have 3 workouts scheduled. I was exhausted and could not keep my eyes opened. Then yesterday, I had only swimming and strengthening workouts planned; however, since I took Saturday off, I moved one of my “easy” workouts from Saturday and added to yesterday’s list. I didn’t want to go all out since I have a rather crazy week of workouts planned, but I also took it easy yesterday.
