What you should be more interested in is are you getting in enough calories to maintain strong energy reserves.  Because this is what matters!  And this happens when you work on how many calories you intake per hour, increasing it as much as possible before GI issues happen and then practice at this number.  You will always be in a deficit no matter which numbers you follow.  So it’s all about getting in as many calories per hour your stomach/body can handle to minimize this deficit.
