Exciting times! I am starting to see open water swim data. So how has been able to get in the water? How did it feel? Did the dryland exercises keep your swimming muscles primed for easier transition back into the water?
I have received feedback from one of my triathletes that it took an open water swim or two to brush off the rust. However on the third open water swim, everything just started to click and his swim felt fantastic. Because he had kept up with regular dyland work, he could actually feel his pull in his lats instead of his shoulders! Win!
Has anyone else experienced something similar? Any open water experience to share?
