It’s the start of the mountain stage. If you love hills, this one is for you! This week we’ll be showing some love to the folks on the other side over the river and taking on some of the hills that Arlington has to offer. This is a mash-up of the Freshbikes Tuesday Night Ride with the Conte’s Falls Church Saturday Hills for Breakfast Ride. We’ll be starting and finishing in Ballston like the Freshbikes ride but doing two loops like the Conte’s ride. The loops are a bit confusing as they overlap that even your bike computer may get confused.

1st loop: 31st which becomes 26th / Yorktown / Powhattan / Kirby/ Chesterbrook/ Glebe
2nd loop: 35th / Williamsburg / Westmoreland / Kirby / Powhattan / Williamsburg / Old Glebe

Just remember:
– for the first loop: turn on 31st, go down on Powhattan, and then take Glebe and then the ramp for Military (the long way back)
– for the second loop: turn on 35th, go to the left at Williamsburg so that you will later come back up Powhattan, and then turn on Old glebe (the shorter way back)

Here’s the route:

If this is way too confusing or too hilly, you can also do the Freshbikes ride:

Start/finish: 15th St and Quincy

For those that would like to start from Georgetown, you can take the Custis trail all the way to the start and add some extra hills!

Some rules:
1. No group rides. Please ride solo or in a pair with good social distance.
2. Finish by Wednesday night if you’d like to count towards the leader-board

Good luck!
