Erika: Drills will be focused on technique, which would help with speed. You can ask the swim coaches at the end of the clinic if there are any drills that might help with strength. I’m not a swim coach, but my experience is strength and endurance come from swimming consistently and pushing yourself with swim intervals that mixes up sprint, fast, medium, and slow sets. If you swim at the same speed throughout the 50 minute workout session, you may MAINTAIN your speed and fitness, which causes the stalling that you’re speaking about, but it wouldn’t increase your speed or endurance.
