CALL FOR NTP MENTORS!
The club will soon be opening 200 spots for NTP 2017 and we would love to have your help mentoring them! If you’re interested in mentoring and/or volunteering please fill out the 2017 NTP Mentor and Volunteer application https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MKBGDNB. We need triathletes of all experience levels especially parents to act as an additional informational resource for this year’s NTPers. Mentors are expected to check in with and answer questions from their mentees over the phone, via email or in-person whichever way works best for the pair. Mentors may also volunteer to help staff scheduled program clinics, group workouts, and attend NTP social events. If you have any questions, please email the NTP Co-Leaders at ntpmentors@gmail.com. Please complete the survey by January 31. We will notify you who your mentee match is on or around 02/12.Do you need to have taken the NTP to mentor?
Not exactly a veteran. This is my second year doing triathlon. I’d love to help, but did not participate in the NTP program.
Mike … you don’t need to have gone through NTP to be a NTP mentor.
You would not be the first person to be a NTP mentor in their second year of doing triathlon. Every year there are a few NTPers from the prior year coming back to be a mentor to the new class. You’ll also see a lot regular veteran club members serving as mentors who have never gone through the program.
