RBC Century for 2017 will start with the rolling hills of Reston and Potomac Falls. The exact route will depend upon final coordination with local communities. We will keep the much enjoyed large loop from Hamilton to Hillsboro, Lovettsville, keeping the Taylorstown and Stumptown hills, before returning to Leesburg and Reston Town Center.
The Metric route is merged with the century route out to Purcellville before returning to Leesburg and Reston Town Center. The Half-Metric route also enjoys the rolling hills of Reston and Potomac Falls before looping around the wide streets in Ashburn.
All riders must wear a helmet. Show & Go start 6:30-10:00 AM (Century riders must start by 9 AM) – wear your yellow wrist band to access rest stops, lunch and t-shirt. Riders are expected to have a well equipped bicycle in good working condition. Bring adequate sunscreen, clothing, water bottles, spare tubes, a pump and extra money. T-shirts must be picked up by 5:00 PM the day of the event.
Young Riders: An adult family member must accompany children under 15. Riders under 18 must have a signed waiver from a parent/guardian.
Post-Ride Party: The Reston Bicycle Club will host a post-ride party under the RTC Pavilion from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM (with food service until 4:30 PM) for no additional cost for all participating cyclists. Your friends and family can join you for $15 per person. Stop by the RBC tent for special sponsor discounts and coupons.
