bcfrank replied to the topic Rev3 Williamsburg – 2021 Half? in the forum Races 3 years, 8 months ago
If Rev3 Williamsburg happens in 2021, then they will almost certainly have a Half. I think most all races, especially those by small race organizers like Rev3, are tentative if they can survive the financial hit of 2020.
That’s why we’ve been pushing all their virtual races, so we can help them stay afloat to be back around in 2021.

Undecided. The weather forecast is kinda making it less enticing to go out there and spectate! 🙁

According to NPS (https://twitter.com/nationalmallnps), the Point will be open again tomorrow and then closes again on Friday. So the plan is still to meet by the pool parking lot at 8AM.

I suppose I can’t delay the inevitable, so here we go!
My name is Bryan Frank and I am seeking your vote to return to the Board for the 2019/2020 term. I joined the club back in the spring of 2008. The New Triathlete Program informational meeting piqued my interest and I decided to give the sport a try. The rest is history.
In 2010, I became a…[Read more]

Aiming to clip-in at 8:30AM. Don’t want to be out in the heat too long!

If you are around for the long holiday weekend, I’m going to head out to Mt. Weather for some riding and running on Saturday. After weeks upon weeks upon decades of rain, it looks like the upcoming Saturday should actually be dry.
Details: the Blue Ridge Challenge (otherwise known as the “Mt. Weather Ride”) is 54 mile loop with two major climbs:…[Read more]

Great ride this morning everyone! That was like 30+ folks out there for the first warm Saturday of the year! Great turnout!
My apologies to the few of y’all who did the Mountain Gate side hill stretch with us and made the wrong turn with us. :/ One of these years I’ll remember the route correctly! But hey: there were definitely some VERY nice…[Read more]

It definitely is a chicken/egg problem and hints that we need to do better with member engagement to get members to chime in with their race schedules. I also think it’s a bit of a website issue as the Race “attend” area is not as easy to find on the new website. I’m pushing the web developers to get this on the main home page in more obvious…[Read more]

If you’re talking about the club training races that we put on for our members, then the calendar is continually forming, but the first half of the year is set with the upcoming Splash & Dash this weekend, the duathlons in April, and the training triathlon in June. You can find the list here: 2018 Club Races.
If you’re talking about the club…[Read more]
