Posting on behalf of MWABA. They are doing tandem captain trainings through the end of March. Some of the blind cyclists are also doing or are interested in doing triathlons if people are interested in guiding at any:
Learn how to be a tandem captain with the Metro Washington Association of Blind Athletes (MWABA)! Come to a training on 3/26 from 1-3 with Mappy Hour and the Bike Summit: https://mappyhour.org/events/2023/03/national-bike-summit-tandem-cycling-clinic-mwaba or on 3/30 from 5:30-7:30 with the Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA): https://waba.org/blog/2023/02/mwaba-tandem-captain-training-2/ Both trainings are at the Eastern Market Metro. MWABA provides the tandem bikes and trains interested captains and stokers. We ride on Thursday nights, alternating between meeting in Eastern Market and riding on the Anacostia Trail and meeting in Bethesda and riding on the Capital Crescent Trail, and we also do weekend rides. We can set up separate trainings for people who aren’t available on the 26th or 30th.
