mosered – Will you still do the morning bike ride and head there afterwards? Also, is it still possible to join if all the tickets are sold out?

Who’s in for Saturday 8/27? Last weekend of August already!!!! 🙁

Anyone up for a ride out to Poolesville and a stop at the Locals Farm Market (https://www.localsfarmmarket.com/) for some handcrafted coffee and pastries, sweets, and treats? It would be around a 62 mile loop from the PNC Bank in G’town (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40712731).

Sources say there’ll be an inaugural “B” group ride to join the regular ride.

Yep. there is a B-ride group starting at 8:30AM.

I plan on starting at 7:30 at the G’town PNC. I want to get to the Poolesville, enjoy some coffee and sweets, and get home before it gets too hot. 😛

I’ll be there at 7:30 and am happy to ride to poolsville, but you will probably be done with your coffee by the time I arrive!

Will there be a no-drop option/sweeper on this Saturday’s ride (first Saturday of September)? I’m new to the group and interested in joining the ride for the first time.

The goal of the B ride is to provide a no-drop option.

I plan on joining the 7:30am ride on Saturday.  I’ll be going to the BP and back, with a potential stop at Black Coffee at the end.

I am out this weekend, but I encourage everyone to:

    1. Trek out to Baltimore on Sunday for the Maryland Cycling Classic (https://www.marylandcyclingclassic.us/), our closest chance to see pro cyclists in their element. 120 mile course with a 4 loop circuit through Baltimore to finish. Pro riders like Michael Matthews, Tony Gallopin, Dylan Groenewegen, US cyclist Neilson Powless (and the awesome pink kits and Cannondale bikes of Team EF), among many others will be riding the streets of B’more.
    2. Join us at our second duathlon at HP on Monday! https://www.webscorer.com/register?pid=1&raceid=286495 Race. Volunteer. Spectate. Come have some fun with us! We’ll head over to the wharf area afterward for some noms!

    Hi All,

I’m a new member with the club and I plan to join the 9/10 ride. I was curious how many people are planning to be there as I look forward to meeting everyone.

    Thank you,

    Jeremy S

First off welcome to the club!

The 7:30AM rollout “A”-group has typically been about 10-15 riders. The 8:30AM rollout “B”-group has had 20-25 riders. I’m not sure how many will be there this weekend. I’m still debating as I’m racing on Sunday and not sure yet if I want to ride or rest on Saturday.
